From the Dead Sea
The Beauty of Natural Care
Like a coral reef, the salt and minerals of the Dead Sea are constantly regenerating, but not at a rate that they can be harvested in mass quantity. Because it is a precious natural resource, the harvesting of the Dead Sea is highly regulated by two governments which share its shoreline – Jordan and Israel.
There is no doubt that the rejuvenating salts and minerals, from this unique environment, would be more widely utilized in beauty products if authorization to harvest them were freely obtainable. However, due to their limited availability, authentic Dead Sea products have always been restricted to specialty outlets; so they rarely appear in mainstream marketing.
Natural Care is one of the few companies licensed to harvest the natural treasures of the Dead Sea.
A History of Human Healing
Throughout human history, the Dead Sea has been touched by the world's most influential figures - King David, The Essenes, Cleopatra, King Herod, John the Baptist and of course, Jesus of Nazareth.
Three thousand years ago, the Ancient Egyptians used bitumen extracted from the Dead Sea for embalming their mummies. Aristotle wrote about the Dead Sea and later, Dead Sea products, including salts, water and asphalt were imported by Rome, for their unique medicinal and industrial value.
Dead Sea plants were the source of highly sought-after perfumes and cosmetics, including myrrh, which is found in the writings of the both the Old and New Testaments.
